"Pray And Get Results"

-Gibson Williams

"In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name."

John 16:23

As Christians, we look at the cross as a symbol of sorrow and pain most of the times. But the Bible clearly explains the benefits which come through the cross. You must have a clear picture of who you are and what you have in Jesus.

When you pray, some of you are begging. Some of you think you are so spiritual when you say "If it’s your will". But if you look at the Bible, you can clearly understand that Jesus has used this phrase just once; before he was lifted up on the cross. The reason Jesus prayed this way is because He was going to be separated from the God the Father for the first time because of all the sins of mankind. You wouldn't find Jesus saying the same when He turned the water into wine. He didn't ask for God's will when he fed the five thousand by multiplying five loaves of bread and two fish. He didn't ask for God's will when he made the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk and when he raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus didn't ask for God's will when he made the wind and the storm to cease.

If you have unanswered prayers, you need to consider your praying style. When you ask God for something, be sure you want the same. The Bible says we are created in God's own image and likeness. When God created the world He felt good about it because He was sure of all that he spoke; and it came to pass. We have to do the same thing. God always wants us to feel good in everything we do. So we must be sure and particular of what we ask. We must not be double minded.

Jesus said, “my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name". So when you pray and ask God for something you must ask God in Jesus name. The Bible says that you can do greater things than what Jesus did while He was in this world. The power over everything is given to us in Jesus name. God had already blessed us in everything we do. All we have to do is to claim every promise in Jesus name. You don't have to tell your problems in prayer. The Bible says, "Ask anything in my name". You must ask what you want from God. God's will for you is to be successful. God blessed Abraham and made him a channel of blessing. Today, you are the seeds of Abraham in Christ. God wants you to be a channel of blessing to the people who are not in Christ. You have a reason to be blessed in everything.

God Bless You
